Last week saw a few new shows trickle out, but this week begins the real heavy start of the new fall TV season, and for ABC on Mondays, that mean Castle. Tonight, season 6 begins with an episode called "Valkyrie" and I've seen it, and I'm here to tell you...

Well, not really very much. Part of the condition of seeing the episode prior to air is that I not reveal any spoilers. Last season ended with a couple of huge cliffhangers, as broadcast network shows are wont to do, one of which being that Kate Beckett was entertaining a possible career change, moving to Washington D.C. and joining the Attorney General's office. Meanwhile, Richard Castle had a plot twist of his own, pulled out a ring and proposed to Beckett. And I can't tell you how that turns out. I know, meaning it gets tied up in this episode, but I can't leak the details.

Outside of that, Castle returns to the air tonight with their usual brand of mystery and wit. There is a crime, it is investigated, and Castle both helps and gets in the way. Most of all though, the chemistry of the two leads, Stana Katic as Kate Beckett and Nathan Fillion as Richard Castle, is back to form. The two of them play off each other so well, and that is testiment to both the writing and to the actors.

Also back this season is... well.. everyone else. Javi and Ryan are still bickering buddies, Alexis is back from Costa Rica with a surprise of her own, and so much more.

"Valkyrie" makes for a great start to the season, and I can only hope they manage to keep this quality and tone for the remainder. And after this brief look into the future, I know where I'll be every Monday night.
