Before knowing anything about The Shield, you spend the first 5 minutes or so expecting Michael Chiklis to break out the bologne sandwich, ala The Commish.
The Shield is easily the best drama on television. Not only this season, but in the past decade. Sopranos and NYPD Blue have nothing on this show. Breaking every rule in the book, this show is truly unpredictable. Somehow making you root for the bad guy, The Shield brings new life to drama. So, grab some drinks, food and a bullet-proof vest, because you won't be able to hit stop on this masterpiece.
