I’ll just go ahead and save you some trouble: Unless you’re absolutely, totally, 100% in dire need of some mostly-derivative screamo/hardcore music, you might as well skip this album. I don’t think I can stress this enough: I barely made it through this record. Now I listen to a ton of heavy music, chaotic pieces, lots of noise and distortion. Beyond that, I listen to a decent amount of melodic metal…in other words I feel like my tastes are fairly eclectic, at least as far as heavy music is concerned.

But this nonsense isn’t worth the material the artwork is printed on (or the hard drive space the mp3s will take up in your iTunes folder). It’s annoying, grating, obnoxious and, worst of all, a waste of some talent. There are two instrumental tracks on the record that are actually somewhat enjoyable. They reveal a modicum of skill and, if the whole album were made up of tracks like these, then this might be a very different review.

As it is, there is nothing about this album that makes me want to recommend it to any one. Avoid at all costs.

PS: The title of the record is "Heaven" spelled backwards. Very clever guys.
