Victorious is a teen sitcom following the ups and downs of Tori Vega and her friends as they navigate life at a performing arts high school. As it’s a Nickelodeon show, the humor is of the fairly obvious sort. It’s probably pretty obvious that it’s not my speed (nor am I in the target demographic for the show), but I can appreciate that it has it’s own goofy charms. In fact, elements of the show seemed a little reminiscent of Saved By The Bell, so I guess it’s got that going for it. Throw in a few dashes of Glee (for the performing arts stuff) and you should have a pretty good idea of what it’s like.

I will give this set solid marks for actually having the entire second season released in one package. The recent trend of having to purchase multiple volumes to complete one season of TV is pretty annoying. So props to Nickelodeon for doing it right for all the Victorious fans out there.

Beyond that, this isn’t for me, but maybe you’re a fan of this sort of high school comedy. If so, check it out for some fairly innocuous laughs.
