When last we saw the women of Wisteria Lane they were neck deep in a murder cover up and Bree’s ex, Detective Chuck Vance, had grown so suspicious of the ladies that he began interrogating them any chance he could get. With that pressure mounting and the already looming pressure of their everyday lives something was bound to give. The question is what and who would be the first to break?

When the show returns we find Bree putting the desperate in Desperate Housewives. After making a huge mistake in the mid-season episode Bree was alienated from the group which led her to start drinking again as well as heading down a depressing turn. It’s not all bad though as Bree finds comfort from an unlikely place and the ladies find their murder cover up being a lot less looked into. Turns out Detective Chuck Vance won’t be looking into their case after all but as it goes on this show someone else might find themselves in hot water.

Susan might be bound for New York, but not if Mike has anything to say about it. The Lynette and Tom show keeps rolling like a roller coaster with ups and downs galore, even with Tom somewhat happily involved with his girlfriend Jane. Carlos has checked himself into rehab, checked himself out, possibly added another murder to his resume, and plans on….wait. What? In any case the writers for the show seem to continue drawing from a well of idea’s that somehow doesn’t feel as if its final season material.

All in all, as usual, I had a great time with the ladies of Wisteria Lane. It’s a bit strange seeing as how I started off hating this show (with a passion no less). The comedic timing on this show is solid, the dramatics’ are never too over dramatic like the terrible CW network shows, and like I said, the writing for this season has just been excellent. It’s really hard to believe ABC is pulling the plug on this show. I think by the end of this season they might reconsider. Do yourself a favor and check it out.
