Up is surprisingly uplifting for a movie that starts off with the hard truth of growing old, death and the feeling of an incomplete life.

I'm not a huge Spike Lee fan when it comes to his less commercial properties.  But, when he is in his higher budget, bigger script element, he is at the top of his game.
