The
LA Times caught up with the Cullen Clan and tossed a few inquiries about Eclipse their way:
"The whole family is in a vulnerable position because of the love we have for Bella," said Elizabeth Reaser, who plays matriarch Esme Cullen. "If she's not OK, we're not OK."

"This time around, you get to see their true vampire-ness," said Peter Facinelli, who plays head vampire Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the series based on the bestselling books by Stephenie Meyer.

What can we expect from the pale-faced Cullen family (which includes the Hale siblings) this go around? Here's what the actors say audiences can expect from the story and their characters:

Facinelli: "For me, as Carlisle, it's an exciting portion of the series. Carlisle is very compassionate and he has a lot of killing to do in this movie. I joke, after he kills the bad guys, he says he's sorry in his head. And, you know, he's calm and level-headed. He's the rock of the family. He usually has a lot of information to draw from because Alice can see into the future and Edward can read minds. In this third movie, he's not getting that information. Neither one of his sources are working, so he's kind of flying blind."

Reaser: "Esme is still a vampire. She still wants to kill people all day long. It was interesting to get in touch with the vampire side of her in ways that haven't really been explored. Her family is in danger and that brings out the mama bear in her.

Ashley Greene (as Alice Cullen): "Yeah, she's delicate and prissy at times, but Alice gets a little edgier with each installment. And with these vampires messing with her family and the people she loves, you're going to see a bit of her toughness. It's a reminder to the audience that even though we restrain ourselves at times, we're still vampires and we're dangerous. You're going to see the dark, dangerous side of Alice."

Kellan Lutz (as Emmett Cullen): "You're going to see a smile on Emmett's face from start to finish. He just loves to fight. And there's a lot of fighting. He sort of plays bigger in this one than the others."

Jackson Rathbone (as Jasper Hale): "You'll get to see a little bit of the root of what makes Jasper so withdrawn and quiet in the Cullen family. Fans will get some of Jasper's back story in ‘Eclipse.' I got to wear the whole Civil War gear and everything. There's a bit of the softer and darker side of Jasper in this film."

Nikki Reed (as Rosalie Hale): "You see a reason for her attitude. I think fans will feel for her. There was a bit of that in ‘New Moon.' Fans got to see a bit of her sensitive side. Her sane side. Her logical side. And her desire to help her family. This time around, she is much more of a participant. She's a survivor. This is her family. So if protecting Bella means protecting her family, she's going to do it."

Robert Pattinson (as Edward Cullen): Snagging a phone interview with the brooding dreamboat — who was overseas shooting his latest film, "Bel Ami" — proved difficult. So what can we expect from the lovesick Edward? He promises to love Bella "every moment of forever," as the trailer reveals. He's still hesitant about her becoming a vampire. He's determined to protect her from Victoria. And he's vying with Jacob for her affections. Oh, the life of an antique teenage vampire.”

The LA Times also spent a little time getting to know the wolf pack by interviewing Alex Meraz, Julia Jones (Leah Clearwater), and Chaske Spencer
“The 1950s gave us the Rat Pack. The ‘80s, the Brat Pack. These days, the Wolf Pack is roaming the film scene.
Although the “Twilight” franchise may have helped spur the vampire craze with the Cullen brood, the saga’s gang of shape-shifters is bringing sexy back to werewolves. And in “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” which hits theaters June 30, that’s no different.
“The Cullens are very reserved,” said Alex Meraz, who plays Wolf Pack member Paul. “They’re vampires, but they’re not out killing people. They’re not what they’re meant to be. Whereas the Wolf Pack, we’re through and through animals. We’re frisky. We’re fun. There’s something sexy about that.”
In the third installment of the franchise, the band of brotherly (and sisterly, as we’ll see) hirsute creatures joins forces with its rivals, the Cullens, after Seattle is plagued by a series of killings caused by an army of newborn vampires.
But since their computer-generated alter egos seem to be getting most of the screen time, here’s a chance to get to know the actors pre-transformation:
Alex Meraz (Paul)
At 25, Meraz is still adjusting to the whirlwind that comes with being in a blockbuster franchise. But don’t be fooled. He’s not complaining.
“Bring it on,” he said. “I was working really hard before, and it just didn’t seem to pay off. I’m just really grateful for it all.”
Before he caught the acting “virus,” Meraz — who admitted his first viewing of “Twilight” was a bootleg version — demonstrated his artistic tendencies through dance, martial arts and painting. In fact, he still breaks out the paint and brushes to maintain his sanity through all the “Twilight” pandemonium.
But it’s that pandemonium that gets him amped when talking about the movie.
“The fans are going to love this film,” he said. “I didn’t get my chance to touch anybody in ‘New Moon.’ This time I go at it with Emmett [ Kellan Lutz]. I give him a nice bitch slap. But I’m in wolf form, so maybe it’s a big paw slap?
“Oh, and there’s a lot more action. It’s more Paul wolf. You’re going to see my wolf form doing a lot of stuff. You’ll just see me running around shirtless once and a while.”
So what of all those topless scenes?
“I have a newfound respect for women. I have to keep my figure. Girls are telling me to take my shirt off. It’s like, ‘Hello! I’m a person, too!’ ”
Julia Jones (Leah Clearwater)
Bryce Dallas Howard isn’t the only new face to join the burgeoning ensemble cast. Jones will make her debut to the franchise as Leah Clearwater, the scorned and bitter sole female member of the Wolf Pack.
“She’s really a tough character,” said Jones, 29. “She’s pretty angry about a lot of things that she has every right to be angry about. She’s miserable and lost and trying to cope internally without a lot of help. And she lashes out quite a bit.”
Jones may not be a household name just yet, having appeared in independent films and a few episodes of “ER,” but that will surely change for the Boston native come June. And for the woman who said she knew she wanted to be an actress after playing Michael Darling in a production of “Peter Pan” as a child, it’ll be a learning process.
“I don’t know,” Jones said. “I’m just trying to take it easy while I can. It’s going to be a new thing to figure out how to navigate this craze. I’m doing my best to prepare myself for all of it.”
Chaske Spencer (Sam Uley)
Spencer reprises his role as werewolf Sam Uley, the sometimes disgruntled leader of the Wolf Pack.
Although Spencer hasn’t exactly gotten used to the global attention — “It’s cool, the recognition. But it’s work. I know how to keep my life private” — he said he doesn’t regret the decision to join the wildly popular franchise.
“There’s a lot more offers,” said Spencer, 35. “As an actor, that’s all you can hope for: more chances to keep it going.”
Spencer is in Arizona shooting his new film “Shouting Secrets,” about a successful young writer in Los Angeles who is called back to his Native American background to tend to his ailing mother.
With the media blitz already in full effect for “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” Spencer said working on something completely different is a way to escape. But there’s no escaping the constant pleas for spoilers from the new flick. And like his character’s quiet, shadow-like wolf form, he only gives a whisper of details.
“This time around, Sam has to put his ego aside to take on this new breed of vampires,” Spencer said. “There’s a lot of new relationships being formed.”

Rob has made Time’s “Top 100 Most Influential People of the Year”. In this annual issue, Time remarks on “the people who most affect our world”. For a cute twist, they had Chris Weitz, our New Moon director, write on everyone’s favorite Pattinson;
And if I say something bad about Rob Pattinson, I'm dead meat. That's the devotion the Twilight films inspire. It's certainly not how he planned it. And though I am continually impressed by the aplomb with which he handles the hysteria, I occasionally think he would take it all back if given the chance. Because essentially, Rob, 23, is a reserved, bookish sort of specimen, a guy who'd rather spend the night at the corner table in the pub with friends — a bit of a weirdo, frankly, in the best sense.

So how to write about someone who seems to answer Freud's rhetorical question, What do women want? Perhaps it's just worth pointing out that it'd be fun to have a beer with him even if he weren't Edward Cullen. That we haven't seen a tenth of what he can do onscreen. And that important things, beyond the veil of Hollywood, occupy his time too — music, conversation, ideas, a sense of the absurd. Which, maybe, explains why he never gets to my e-mails. I love you, Rob! Call me!

Bits of Breaking Dawn
Summit has confirmed that The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn will be released nation-wide on November 18th, 2011 {HitFix}
The Official Twilight Saga Facebook page posted this note from our newly confirmed director Bill Condon:
“Greetings Twihards, Twifans, Twilight Moms, Team Edward, Team Jacob and Team Switzerland,

I just want to say hello to all of you and let you know that I'm stoked to be getting underway on the adventure of making BREAKING DAWN. As you've probably heard, I've been given a very warm welcome by Stephenie and Team Summit - who are super-focused, as you know, on getting these movies right.

I'm pretty busy bringing myself up to speed on what you already know by heart: I've read BREAKING DAWN twice, rewatched Catherine's and Chris's movies 2-3 times each, have all four CDs playing in my car, and have Catherine's notebook, Mark Cotta Vaz's companion books, and even Volume 1 of the graphic novel here on my desk - a corner of my office is starting to look like Hot Topic. I realize that this barely qualifies me for "newborn" status in the universe you've been living inside for a few years now, but a guy's gotta start somewhere.

Like many of you, I've always been slightly obsessed with vampires, dating back to the prime-time series DARK SHADOWS, which I followed avidly as a kid. But that alone hadn't been enough to get me interested in making a vampire movie, even though my early screenwriting and directing efforts grew out of a great love for horror movies and thrillers. Since making GODS AND MONSTERS thirteen years ago, however, I've been yearning for a return to a story with Gothic overtones.

The wonderful world that Stephenie has created has obviously struck a chord with you, and I don't think it's difficult to see why. For me, her characters are simultaneously timeless, yet very modern. Rooted in a beautiful, real landscape with a great sense of place, Bella, Edward, Jacob, and the rest of the Forks/La Push menagerie, experience emotions that are primal, and universal: desire, despair, jealousy - and it all comes to fruition in BREAKING DAWN. This is a final chapter in the best sense; not just wide in scope and scale, but emotionally charged and intense throughout.

I'm a huge admirer of the already-iconic Kristen, Robert, and Taylor, and wanted to be the one to work with them as they face the challenges of bringing your beloved characters to the end of their journeys. Really, what could be more fun than that?

Please feel free to ask questions in the

comments section below, and I'll do my best to answer them. I hope that this will be the first of many occasions I'll get to check in with you as we set to work bringing BREAKING DAWN to the screen. I am excited and grateful to have all of you alongside me for my TWILIGHT journey.

All best,

Bill Condon

P.S. Answer #1: No, there won't be any musical numbers”

It’s been over a year since Breaking Dawn was released (Yes, I did go to a midnight release party!) and with all this talk, can you remember what exactly the story was about? MTV Rough Cut has released some videos of Meyer answering fan questions. Meyer explains how vampire pregnancy works, what the cover represents, how she came up with the name Reneesme (how to pronounce it!) and more! These should definitely get your mind jogging.

Twilight Fun Time!
Oh, did you think it was over? All those pictures, videos, news, articles? You thought THAT was it? My dear, how you underestimate! You might want to take a swig of water to clear you palate, because we’ve got LOTS of Twilight etc to excite!

For as long as there have been Twihards, there has been an eternal question: What does Edward/Bella do when Bella is on her period? Well, wonder no more my fellow fans. Funny or Die has answered us!

Feast your eyes on this beautiful black & white of Rob for Greek magazine “Homme”. Thanks to RPatzNews, here’s a translation of the interview
“When his face was shown on screen in Greek cinemas ,teenage girls let out cries of hysteria. Last time something like that happened, when Beatles were performing, that is, the 24 years old British guy wasn’t born yet. But he seems to know already how things work. When all the world is watching every move you make, then only one choice is left: to ignore it.
A BITTEN STAR
Q: When did you become aware of the hysteria surrounding your persona?
A: I had no idea of the hysteria surrounding Twilight, specially when we were filming the first movie. But when we came back to LA for some reshoots, we met 500 and more fans screaming and some girls were asking for autographs. There are a lot of girls who cry as well- but lately more and more want me to bite them, and that worries me a little bit. Once a girl asked me what she could do to get my attention. I told her to take her clothes off and she actually started to take her clothes off. Some people really would do anything…

Q. How do you feel about all this fame?
A. Overnight I wasn’t able to be a normal person anymore. I remember the day before the premiere of “Harry potter and the goblet of fire” I stood in Leicester Square and no one knew who I was. Suddenly people start screaming as soon as they see me. I mean, crazy!

Q. When did you decide to be an actor?
A. When I was 12, everything changed in my life. I went to a mixed school and I found out what it felt like to be cool. I discovered the hair gel as well. One day I was with my father in a restaurant and we were looking at some girls who had just ended their class in the local drama school. My father suggested I entered that school. I didn’t know exactly what his purposes were by suggesting me that, but I entered. It ended up being my only way out. I was among those guys who didn’t like doing their homework or studying. According to my teachers, I had great possibilities, but I was too lazy to find out. I really had no interest in school.
Q Do you like being interviewed?
A During interviews I’m extremely nervous. I don’t want to stay silent, because otherwise I would burst into tears owing to my nervousness. I just say the first thing that comes to mind. Of course the only way to protect your private life is to keep your mouth shut and not to talk about it with anyone. But, unfortunately, I have to talk. It’s in the contract.

Q If you had an actor to look up to, who would he be?
A Actors don’t seem to mention him that much, but I admit looking up to James Dean.

Q How do you feel when you face shows up on screen?
A I don’t like watching my movies. I hate seeing my face on screen because I am always worried about not being fake. I have always been worried about that and about looking like someone who fakes his emotions, I remember that when I was in my teens a girl that I was in a relationship with had cheated on me and so I tried to cry but it was a total failure. I couldn’t feel anything.

Q. Are you afraid of failure?
A. I think that when you fancy yourself as invincible, nothing matters. I understood that when , after I got my role in Harry Potter, everyone saw me as the hottest guy in all the UK. But then, all the noise ceases and no one cares. It’s important to understand that as soon as possible. In the end, no one cares about you.

Q. What do you think will happen when the twilight saga ends?
A. I don’t know. I’m a bit scared of the idea, to be honest.

Q. And if everything ended right now, how would you feel?
A. I don’t care. What is important to me right now is to be seen as a serious actor. I don’t want to be ashamed either of what I am or what I do.
Info: “Eclipse” the third instalment of the Twilight Saga will premiere on 30th June. Right now Pattinson is filming “Bel Ami”, a movie based on the book of Guy de Maupassant, where he co-stars with Uma Thurman.”
