Now that we've got New Moon's DVD released covered, what about Eclipse?  It's expected in June, but still, no trailer! Here's the latest from director David Slade's tweet feed:

But what can be said about the final book of the saga; Breaking Dawn? Everyone expects Summit to start filming Breaking Dawn immediately. Twilight's one of the fattest cash cows in a while, but yet there still isn't any schedule on filming the last installment.  There are several factors one must consider when adapting Breaking Dawn to screen; one of which is SPOILER ALERT! Edward & Bella's half vampire baby Renesemee who grows at accelerated rate. In the book, the infant Renesemee has a full set of teeth before she can talk. This has the potential to look really freakish & scary. Renesmee has to be handled with delicate care!

MTV News caught up with Kristen Stewart & Dakota Fanning during last weekend's Sundance Film Festival:

Movie Trailers - Movies Blog
“I don’t even know if it’s going to be one [film] or two, or who is directing it, or when it’s even going [to start],” she admitted. “I know that it’s going to go, but not when yet.”

The most important issue facing Kristen’s character is the birth of Edward and Bella’s baby daughter Renesmee. In Stephenie Meyer’s novel, Renesmee’s birth is so graphic that Bella nearly dies but is ultimately converted into a vampire and saved by Edward. While the scene is currently unwritten as far as the “Breaking Dawn” script goes, Kristen is eager to learn how it will translate from book to film.

“I haven’t seen a script, but I’m not alone in really, really wondering how they’re going to handle that,” she said.As important as the birth scene itself is the baby that is born. Will Renesmee be played by an actual baby or will she be given the CGI treatment? It’s a tricky question that Kristen doesn’t have an easy answer for, but one thing is certain — Renesmee has to be adorable.

“Little Renesmee, she’s got to be cute,” said the actress. “She can’t just be this scary superhuman teeth baby!"

Movies aren't the only thing to look forward to in the Twiverse! There's also Twilight The Graphic Novel: Vol 1. Which will be released on March 16 (pre-order here!) Here are some of the scans from Entertainment Weekly. Check out more in the January 29 edition of EW.

Check out this great interview with Julia Jones by Meredith Goldstein of the Boston Globe. Julia will play Leah Clearwater; Seth's sister, Sam's -ex, & the ONLY female werewolf.

Eclipse’’ doesn’t come out for five more months, but Jones has been warned that publicity starts soon. She’s trying to get herself ready for the madness – mall tours, meet-and-greets, and the obsessed, self-described “Twi’’-hards, who will be watching – and blogging – as she brings their Leah to life. Then there’s the fourth and final installment, “Breaking Dawn,’’ which Meyer has confirmed might be split into two movies filmed over the next few years.
“After doing the press line, I was starving. And there were 30,000 fans in Westwood. People had been camping out for five days or so. I just started to walk through the fans to the California Pizza Kitchen. And as I started doing that, one of the actors who is also in the wolf pack, Alex Meraz, he was on his way in to do the press line, so we passed each other. And when the fans saw him, they went absolutely insane. And just standing there next to him, there’s this sense of, ‘This is probably going to be what’s in store.’ ’’

If you didn't know, Twilight has been a major boon to the real and tiny town of Forks, Washington. Tourism has boomed bringing lots of cash to this sleepy logging town. Forks Chamber of Commerce even has it's own Twilight page!  To document this incredible flux of fresh blood into the hamlet comes the documentary Twilight In Forks: The Saga of a Real Town. Check out the trailer featuring the most amazing Alice cosplay I've ever seen:

"The DVD for this documentary will be released the same day as the New MoonDVD, March 20th, and its official description is as follows:
The definitive DVD documenting the town of Forks made famous by the Twilight books and movies. This is a fan’s opportunity to see the town that Stephenie Meyer based her epic teen romance books on. Hear from the real people living their lives in the town fans know and love, including the Chief of Police, the Forks Outfitters’ employee who gets mistaken for Bella, and the vampire transplant who plays the real-life role of Alice. Visit Forks High School, hear self-described Jacob’s grandfather tell the legend of how the Quileutes descended from wolves, and see many more of the people and places that make Forks and La Push the perfect setting for The Twilight Saga."

With the documentary now a done deal, a reality show is in the works!

TheWrap.com quotes producer Zig Gauthier,

"We're not going up there looking to cast people who have claims to the supernatural, We want people who have a true connection to the community. We want to avoid people with outlandish claims."

So just what will the show be?

Mike Gurling, who manages the visitor center for the Forks Chamber of Commerce, said residents were aware of planned casting sessions for the Gauthier project -- but not yet sure what to make of the idea "It's pretty hard to imagine the concept," Gurling told TheWrap. "This is a really small logging town. If you were to compare what happens here to Las Vegas or Los Angeles, it's hard for us to believe" there's enough interesting content for a show."

But it's not all golden eyes & freesia in Forks. Apparently, the sign in front of the unofficial Swan has been stolen.

In other potentially stressful news, Summit has won an injunction against the Beckett media "Twilight" fanzine.

"Summit Entertainment decided to go after a "Twilight" fanzine that used publicity photos from the film without permission. Few people could figure out why the studio would file a copyright and trademark infringement lawsuit against Beckett Media when those stock photos are floating around the Internet and have undoubtedly been used by many
...
We went back and looked at the original complaint in this case. To us, the most interesting issue is the way that Summit tries to foreclose a free-speech, journalists-have-fair-use-rights line of defense.

Summit alleges that Beckett got the photos by registering as a journalist on its publicity website. The Terms of Use for Summit's press site grant the right solely "for journalistic purposes," and don't allow those who download photos to "edit, alter or modify" the content without approval.

The issue of whether a fanzine is a journalistic enterprise or a commercial one is interesting.
...
Journalism or commercial speech? As the space between entertainment and news product collapses, we could see more of these types of lawsuits. Especially when content like photos are so easily passed around on the Internet.

Summit, repped by Jill Pietrini and a team from LA's Manatt firm, gave us this statement on the case:

"Summit Entertainment acted to protect its rights in a situation which found Beckett Media using copyrighted and trademarked images and materials relating to the Twilight films for Beckett's financial gain without an agreement in place with Summit to legally license the right to produce materials based on its film franchise.  Beckett's sale of standalone magazines under the name Twilight, and wholesale use of Summit's copyrighted material in a commercial product, went well beyond the intended purpose of Summit's publicity site.  We applaud the court for its judgment in this matter.""
