Bits of Breaking Dawn

Summit Entertainment announced today the following have been cast in THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN for roles in The Amazon Coven, The Egyptian Coven, The Irish Coven and The Romanian Coven as well as the American and European Nomads as outlined below. {twilight}

THE AMAZON COVEN

· The Amazon Coven is comprised of Tracey Heggins as Senna and Judi Shekoni as Zafrina.

· Among the oldest vampires in the world, Senna and Zafrina are descendants of an ancient Amazonian tribe. They have lived outside of civilization for centuries and therefore make no attempt to keep up a human facade. Though they drink human blood, the Amazons have long been allies of Carlisle.

THE EGYPTIAN COVEN

·        The Egyptian Coven is comprised of:
o        Omar Metwally (RENDITION, MUNICH) as Amun.
o        Andrea Gabriel (Lost, House) as Kebi.
o        Rami Malek (NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM) as Benjamin.
o        Angela Sarafyan (LOVE HURTS, THE GOOD GUYS) as Tia.

· The Egyptian Coven consists of Amun, Kebi, Benjamin, and Tia, with Amun as the leader. It is stated that even though they are not a biological family, they could pass for one. Amun is extremely protective of his family and fearful of Aro.

THE IRISH COVEN

· The Irish Coven is comprised of Marlane Barnes (THE TREE OF LIFE) as Maggie, Lisa Howard as Siobhan and Patrick Brennan as Liam.

· The Irish Coven, a relatively young group, was founded by Siobhan and Liam, but Maggie’s talent made her an important element of it. They are not vegetarian but they are civilized.

THE ROMANIAN COVEN

· The Romanian Coven is comprised of Noel Fisher (THE PACIFIC, FINAL DESTINATION 2) as Vladimir and Guri Weinberg (MUNICH) as Stefan.

· The Romanian Coven is one of the oldest covens in the world and they were the ruling vampire family until they were unseated by the Volturi. For that reason they harbor a centuries old resentment of the Italian coven.

THE AMERICAN NOMADS

·        The American Nomads are comprised of:
o        Lee Pace as Garrett (Pushing Daisies, THE GOOD SHEPHERD).
o        Toni Trucks (MUSIC AND LYRICS) as Mary.
o        Bill Tangradi (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) as Randall.
o        Erik Odom as Peter.
o        Valorie Curry (Veronica Mars) as Charlotte.

· Turned during the Revolutionary War, Garrett has chosen to live a nomadic existence, wandering the world on his own. Garrett has never lost the rebellious spirit of his human life, and loves a good fight, always rooting for the underdog. Though not a vegetarian, Garrett is among Carlisle’s closest and oldest friends.

· Mary and Randall are American nomadic vampires.

· Peter and Charlotte are nomadic vampires and mates. They were created during the aftermath of the Southern Vampire Wars, in which Jasper was a key player. They have remained friends with Jasper ever since.

THE EUROPEAN NOMADS

· The European Nomads are comprised of Joe Anderson (THE CRAZIES) as Alistair

· A nomadic vampire from England, Alistair has a misanthropic, brooding personality and a deep mistrust of all authority. Although he counts Carlisle as his closest acquaintance, he doesn’t visit more than once a century.{breakingdawnmovie}

Now, for a little speculation! Who will play Nahuel? Nahuel is the Brazilian half-vamp whose existence clears the Cullen’s good name. According to MMG management, model Raj Patel had been auditioning for the potential role of Nahuel in Breaking Dawn.

However, Nahuel is supposed look only 17 and despite Raj’s incredible looks, I’d say he’s 25. {twicrackaddict} What do you think? Let us know below!

Melissa Rosenberg, screen writer for the Twilight Saga, spoke to Hollywood Life about the sex scenes in Breaking Dawn. Any Twilighter worth their salt expects those scenes to be as headboard breaking & pillow biting as they are in the book.

“I can tell you, the sex scenes are going to be sensual, and they’re going to be delicious and they’re going to be everything that I would want them to be. They may not be as graphic as some people may want them, but I honestly don’t think graphic translates into hot.”

OLTV is reporting that test shots are already underway in Vancouver for Breaking Dawn! Above is a picture from one of the exterior sets that will be used when Breaking Dawn begins filming in Vancouver in early 2011, after they finish up in Louisiana. {eclipsemovie}

Nikki Reed can’t wait to show the softer (and funnier!) side of Rosalie in Breaking Dawn.

"We start shooting soon and we just got the script a few days ago, so that's exciting," Nikki revealed. "They really do capture the essence of the books and the story and they're very faithful, and I think what the studio, as well as the actors and the writers, have all sort of realized is that's the success of this, the origin [a.k.a Stephenie's source material] is obviously where the success came from," she said. "So we would be sort of silly to stray away from that."

Nikki went on to say that her character's interactions with Jacob definitely stand-out.

"I have to say that in 'Breaking Dawn,' Jacob and Rosalie have an especially... their relationship is pretty unique," she said with a smile. (Fans of the book know that Rosalie and Jacob have a few very heated interactions regarding the birth of Renesmee.) "It's quite entertaining."{MTV}

The nominees for the 2010 American Music Awards have just been announced, and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is up for "Best Soundtrack"!

Eclipse faces off with Glee: The Music, Volume 3 The Showstoppers and Iron Man 2.

Eclipse soundtrack contributors Muse and Vampire Weekend are also nominated for "Favorite Alternative Rock Artist." Muse contributed the song "Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)" to the Eclipse album, while Vampire Weekend added "Jonathan Low" to the soundtrack.
Last year, Twilight's soundtrack won "Favorite Album" in the 2009 American Music Awards, so be sure to vote for Eclipse so the album can win this year as well!

Daniel Radcliffe, better known for his role as Harry in the Harry Potter films, will be playing Edmund the vampire in the Simpsons’s Treehouse of Horror XXI!

Beware of ouija boards, vampires, and unexpected guests in the 21st annual installment of the “Treehouse of Horror.” In “War and Pieces,” the first of three spine-tingling tales, Marge (Julie Kavner), worried about the effects of excessively violent video games, encourages Bart (Nancy Cartwright) and Milhouse (Pamela Hayden) to give wholesome, classic board games a shot. The best friends discover that board games aren’t boring after all when they find themselves playing a real-life game in which they must beat all the challenges before they are allowed to return to home.

The supernatural spells continue in “Tweenlight,” when Lisa (Yeardley Smith) becomes smitten with a mysterious new student, Edmund (guest voice Daniel Radcliffe), who also happens to be a vampire. When a romance blossoms, the young lovers run away to Dracula-la Land, leaving Homer (Dan Castellaneta) to come to Lisa’s rescue.

In the final frightening fable, “Master and Cadaver,” Homer and Marge set sail on a romantic second honeymoon, but are interrupted when they rescue Roger (guest voice Hugh Laurie), a castaway who escaped an attempted poisoning on his ship. Convinced that Roger is sabotaging their getaway and plotting a murder of his own, Homer and Marge take matters into their own hands.
