The night began like a typical cold November 10th night but upon arrival at the Museum Bar I could tell by the long lines wrapped around the building that the night would be anything but.  By seeing all the exciting fans, I knew it wouldn’t be typical.  I had a chance to sit down with the cast of Tyler Perry’s For Better or For Worse.  Everyone was in high spirits with the release of their new TBS series and excited to meet with all the fans that are eager to see the show in their homes every week.

SHAKEFIRE: What do you want your fans to take from watching this new show?
CAST: We would like the fans to see a bit of themselves in the show.  We would like to give our fans a positive resolution to complicated situations and do this with a comedic twist that will leave the fans thoroughly entertained.

SF: In your opinion, who has it better, single people or married people?
CAST: Definitely married life is better.  Being single is a gamble.  You never know what you get, and it’s like you are in a constant search for the right person.  The benefit of being married is to know that you will always have someone that feels you matter.  Someone that is willing to share their lives with you and only you.

SF: To Tasha Smith – Now that you are starring in your very own sitcom, how do you make time for your Tasha Smith Acting Workshops?
TASHA SMITH: Good Time Management has a laser focus on my priorities and keeping my passion at the forefront for all my daily plans.

SF: Being that Atlanta is becoming a major film and production destination, what advice would you give to up and coming actors/actresses that look up to you and hope one day to be as successful as you have been?
CAST: Know that every opportunity is an opportunity.  It’s a marathon, not a sprint.  You are only as great as you perceive yourself to be.  You have to know and believe that your dream is your reality that just hasn’t happened yet.  And it will only happen if you follow it through and never give up on what you know belongs to you.

SF: To Kiki Hanes – How is it working with your mentor, Tasha Smith on a daily basis?
KIKI HANES: Tasha and I are very close.  I love working with her.  In this TV series, we actually are arch rivals.

SF: Kent (Faulcon), what is one thing that most of your viewers may not know about you that you are willing to share?
KENT FAULCON: That outside of acting, I’m a film director.

SF: To Michael Jai White – Why should men tune in to this show?
MICHAEL JAI WHITE: I think Tyler Perry and his selected cast has done a great job portraying men in a positive light.  There are plenty of laughs and there are also lessons and we hope, out of the couples portrayed in this series, men may see a reflection of themselves.

SF: In closing, any final words to your fans both new and old?
CAST: We hope they enjoy watching this series, tune in weekly and we will put our all into bringing you real to life situations with a comedic twist to keep you guessing as we take you on the wonderful journey of 3 couples and all the drama, laughs and adventure that can possibly happen while pushing the envelope to what having a great relationship is all about.

the son character

I think the boy who plays the son looks to old...he looks like an old man that is short.
