Some of the biggest names in music gathered at L.A.’s Nokia Theatre, as the nominees for the 54th annual Grammy Awards were announced.

The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! was highlighted with performances by Jason Aldean, the Band Perry, and past Grammy Award winners Lady Gaga, Ludacris, Lupe Fiasco, Sugarland and Rihanna. Valerie Simpson and Mike Stoller – both of whom lost their longtime songwriting partners this year – joined Usher for a moving tribute to songwriters.

Nicki Minaj, Bruno Mars, Katy Perry and Taraji P. Henson were among the evening’s presenters. LL Cool J hosted the show. Kanye West walked away with the most nominations, with seven.

The Grammy Awards are scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 12. They will air live on CBS at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
