The concert documentary has gained in popularity in recent years because of the likes of Justin Bieber: Never Say Never and Katy Perry: Part of Me. Teen boy band sensation Mindless Behavior have a documentary of their own, All Around the World, that chronicles their first headlining concert tour with footage from their performances spliced between what goes on when they’re not on stage.

The film opens with an introduction to the members of Mindless Behavior and how the band was formed. They are, after all, still just kids who are in the beginning stages of their already famous career. I had no idea who this bad was going into the film but after about 20 minutes, it paints a pretty clear picture of who exactly everyone is.

What I like about All Around the World is that it shows that Mindless Behavior is about more than just the music. It shows the group traveling to charities and meeting with fans in some of the most random places. One scene has them performing an impromptu concert in the middle of a suburban street at 9:00 at night just because some people missed out on seeing them live. The documentary gives you a clear sense of who these kids are and what they’re trying to do.

While I’m not a big fan of their music, it’s good to see a band be more than just that. They truly care about their fans and All Around the World does a good job at making that clear. If you can get past the heavily auto-tuned concert sections, there is some decent material worth watching.
