Perception goes outside of the classroom and into the city of love itself for Season 3. After losing his teaching job last season due to his schizophrenic tendencies, Dr. Daniel J. Pierce (Eric McCormack) decides to spend some time in Paris.

It isn’t long before he’s drawn into another case filled with espionage, secret meetings, and a mysteriously important pen. As Daniel puts it, it’s exactly the kinda thing he’d like to be involved in.  As it turns out, he becomes entangled in this international FBI case that once again has him questioning his sanity.

“Paris” is quite a mind-bending opener for Season 3 of Perception. Even though we’re in Paris, the episode still features the same crime solving puzzles fans have grown accustomed to in the past. One of the best aspects of the episode, however, is how it captures the illusion of what’s real and what isn’t. It’s a fun episode that’ll keep you guessing until the very end.

There were some big changes towards the end of Season 2 of Perception, but I have a feeling that they won’t last long into Season 3. They format of the show they have going works, so clearly there isn’t a necessity to fix it. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
