Originally this movie was released under the name “Princess And The Cobbler” and had Sean Connery as the voice of Tack.  However it has since been re-cut and now stars Matthew Broderick. Now I know that Aladdin was based off of other stories and was not original; but if you have seen it that may just ruin this movie for you. Watching “The Thief And The Cobbler” was like watching a watered down version of Aladdin without the Genie. You have songs throughout; but they last a little long and aren’t really that catchy.

The animation though I really liked. It reminded me of when I was younger. I can’t help but to feel that if this was the original version it would have been much better. There are no bonus features on this DVD. And one more thing to add a headache is the pop-up that is on the case. This causes it to be puffy and a tight fit. This is a disappointment in a release.
