HELLO BRETT

Football star Steve Young was originally supposed to play the part of Mary's secret love. However, as a practicing Mormon, he declined, due to the nature of the movie, so Brett Favre took over the role.

When I first saw this movie, I wasn't all that impressed.  I was yet to be introduced to the comedic stylings of the Farrelly Brothers and all I was hearing is that this was the funniest movie ever made.  That...it's not, but it's still pretty damn funny after re-watching it.

QUALITY:
Great.  Surprisingly enough, the video is outstanding, bright and clear.  The audio, on the other hand, gets a bit muffled at times, unfortunately.

BONUS FEATURES:
Featurettes, commentary, unrated director's cut, outtakes, music video, foreign language scene.

As I said, I watched this once and didn't like it.  I watched it a few months later and thought it was hilarious and I have liked it ever since.  So, regardless of what other writers may say, this is NOT the funniest movie of all time.  If you think it is, that's great, just don't go in expecting it so you won't be let down like I was initially.  That advice pretty much goes for anything.  The "Best" anything is a lot to live up to.  That aside, the special features, although nothing new from the 2-disc DVD, are enjoyable and entertaining.  The only downside to this entire release is the relatively poor audio which is not formatted for 7.1 nor is it completely lossless.

Love this movie period but on blu-ray???

Everybody has seen this movie and if you have seen this movie, I am sure you liked it so I am not comment on the movie. I am not sure blu-ray is a lot different from DVD. Of course pic is clear and more beautiful but do you really care about that for a comedy? Audio is not so great. It is up to you if you want to get it as a blu-ray.
