Title: Race to Witch Mountain Genre: Action/Adventure Starring: Carla Gugino, AnnaSophia Robb, Alexander Ludwig, Ciarán Hinds, Tom Everett Scott, Frank Marshall, Dwayne Johonson Director: Andy Fickman Studio: Walt Disney Pictures Runtime: 99 Minutes In Theatres: March 13, 2009 MPAA Rating: Rating: ( )Grade: C When their spaceship crash lands on Earth, two aliens posing as human children, find themselves hunted by the government as well as an assassin from their own planet all the while they search for something that will save their world and ours. With the help of Jack Bruno, a taxi driver, will the aliens find what their looking for and escape capture or will both our planets run out of time? Kids will love this film, mine did, but I sat through it going through stages of real boredom. I think the writing for the film was what failed me, it failed to utilize the whole alien theme and instead chose to throw in concepts that have been used many times before, especially in the action and humor bits. Another problem I had with the film was the casting job. Dwyane Johnson, try as they might to make him a comedic actor, it just didn’t work for me. His timing in the film is okay but a little wooden. While the kids in the film are probably supposed to be wooden, seeing as how their aliens, their George Lucas type performances got old quick. There was just zero chemistry that I could find out of any of the characters, even surprisingly out of Ciarán Hinds who was fantastic in HBO’s Rome and even better in There Will Be Blood but seemed very one dimensional here. The film has a lot of explosions, and some creative props, but unfortunately it uses already explored avenues as a crutch and that is where it fails me the most.

Race to Witch Mountain
I saw the premiere last night in Raleigh, NC and I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. I will want to see it again.
Race to Witch Mountain
I found this movie to be not very entertaining. After about 45 minutes I found my thoughts wondering. It just wasn't for me.
Race to Witch Mountain
I found this movie to be very entertaining. I am so tired of movies having to have off-color jokes, bathroom humor, swearing and love scenes and nudity for no apparent reason. Finally a movie that I can sit with my kids and grandkids without having to be embarrassed by what is on the big screen. Thank you Disney for the "family" entertainment.
Race to Witch MT.

Race To Witch Mountain
First off let me start off by saying "thank you" for the passes. I didn't expect this movie to be funny. Not only was it funny but it was also very entertaining. Kids are really going to enjoy this one. Thanks again for the passes.

Thank you for the passes. I enjoyed this movie. It had funny parts and was entertaining. Nice to be able to take kids to a movie where the language is not embarrassing.
Race to Witch Mountain
I saw the movie last night, Thanks Shakefire, ans I thought it was wonderfully funny. It had great moments and was actually very interesting. I was invested the the movie from start to finish! I give it and A!
Ok for kids and some adults
Average movie, almost looks like it was made for TV. The usual chase scenes, hitting the apple cart so to speak. Boy girl romance, etc. Some interesting special effects, just not up to Disney standards. No chemistry among actors.
Kids and families should enjoy this film, as a fun diversion on Sat. afternoon.
Race to Witch Mountain
First, thanks for the passes Shakefire. Second, the movie was great! I think its truly a great movie for the family and everyone of all ages. Disney, you did a great job with this one.
Race to Witch Mountain
I was very excited to get the free pass (finally) from shakefire.. thanks guys!
Movie was entertaining, but I definitely do not expect a lot from the movie. It's a clean and fun and enjoyable movie for the family, however, I felt that the personality of the main character (a.k.a. The Rock), sort of drown the movie plot and authenticity. Overall, decent - if you like the Rock - totally check out the movie,...
Race to Witch Mountain
I thought the move was very entertaining and would recommend it. This movie is ok to be view by young children.
I also thought the movie was
I also thought the movie was entertaining. My 7 year old granddaughter loved and thinks Shakefire is the best!
Witch Mountain
It was a cute movie but if you're an alien for another planet with powers, use them, don't run and act all scared... kicks some butt! It would have been better.
not as good but ok
this movie just seemed to lose a lot of the magic mystery and eeriness that the originals had. maybe this is meant for a new generation. the original is definitely better but i see how this would appeal to a generation of bolt loving, jonas brothers adoring young ones.
Good family movie
Fun Disney movie for the whole family, Rock is especially funny.
Good family movie
Straight from the mouths of babes.... that was a cool movie. It was amazing. I really liked how the producers made it. Mommy enjoyed it too and had a few good laughs. We went back and watched the old ones. Quite a change as far as special effect but fit the theme.
