Show: Cougar Town Episode(s): 62. 63, 64, 65, 66, 67 Genre: Comedy Starring: Courteney Cox, Christa Miller, Busy Philipps Network: TBS Airdate/Time: January 8, 2013 10:00pm Rating: ( )Grade: A- “Cougar Town” now airs on TBS and the show will have their season 4 premiere on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 10pm. Shakefire had the chance to preview the first 6 episodes of Season 4. At the conclusion of Season 3, the “cul-de-sac Crew” was up to their crazy ways, but Jules and Grayson managed to get married after a couple of obstacles. This was the last episode aired on ABC before the show’s big move to TBS. The show follows Jules (Courteney Cox), who divorced Bobby (Brian Van Holt), and has finally found true love with a bartender named Grayson (Josh Hopkins), whom she recently married. She also has an older son, Travis (Dan Byrd), who is currently in college and keeping her busy. Jules also has her BFFs Laurie (Busy Philipps), the crazy and wild free spirit of the group, and Ellie (Christa Miller), with her husband Andy (Ian Gomez) to round out the group. The show’s characters are complex, fun to watch, and relatable for most people. All their personalities in the show really shine and their storylines intertwine perfectly. This show targets and appeals more to the older and middle aged crowds, but it does a good job of trying to have something for everyone. At the start of this season, Grayson and Jules are dealing with their first week of marriage and all the emotional baggage that comes along with it. There are several changes to the "Cul-de-sac Crew" that you are going to have to watch to find out about. The show always manages to find a good mix of mature and slapstick raunchy comedy to please most audiences. My favorite episode was entitled “Between Two Worlds” because of the nerd elements they included in the episode. Grayson is my favorite character because he is the most normal out of the group, very handsome, and says the funniest things. The show is cleverly written and the jokes are perfectly timed. I highly recommend checking out season 4 of “Cougar Town” and for those reasons, I am giving the episodes I viewed and the show an “A-.” Pictures: |
