Show: Ben 10 Alien Force Season/Volume: Vol. 8 Genre: Action/Adventure Studio: Cartoon Network Runtime: 136 Minutes Release Date: August 24, 2010 Format: DVD Discs: 1 Rating: ( )Grade: B Ben 10 Alien Force continues with Volume 8. A 1 disc 5 episode installment that includes one bonus episode and an Alien Database Special Feature. In this installment Old enemies resurface, the Omnitrix begins to appear a double edged sword, and Kevin is struggling to come to terms with his appearance. The disc is as follows. 1. If All Else Fails: An Earthquake awakens a sleeping Highbreed which sets off a trigger that has Grandpa Max acting strangely. Just when things couldn’t get any worse a seemingly unstoppable force appears dooming the Earth to extinction. The task may be even to much for Ben, Gwen, and Kevin to handle on their own. 2. In Charms Way: An old enemy comes back for revenge turning Kevin against Ben and Gwen and threatens to leave them all powerless. The key to their defeat seems to be Kevin who is struggling with his appearance and its adverse effects on his relationship with Gwen. 3. Ghost Town: Yet another old enemy returns but this time in need of help. Can Ben, Gwen, and Kevin trust them or are they walking straight into a trap? 4. Trade Off: Kevin’s struggles with his power comes to an end when he teams up with, the most unlikely of people, Darkstar. With Kevin’s help Darkstar obtains an ancient artifact that frees himself and Kevin from their powers but can Darkstar be trusted? 5. Busy Box: Ben, Gwen, and Kevin come across some sort of robot that can imitate them and to a lesser degree their powers. Before they can say, “In the wrong hands this thing can be dangerous” who should show up but The Vreedle Borthers, space scum for hire. The robot however turns out to be more then either party can handle and Ben, Gwen, and Kevin must stop it before it causes serious damage. Special Features: Bonus Episode Alien Database: Unlike the previous disc there doesn’t seem to be a main core to the collection. Each episode can really work as a stand alone that doesn't have much relation other then Kevin’s constant coming to terms with his appearance and abilities. In any case, since I have a Ben 10 fan in the family, I know as long as it’s a Ben 10 DVD their happy. Pictures: |
