Klogr is a metal band that I found sounded very similar to bands like Disturbed. Their chorus harmonies are pretty impressive and their overall sound is energetic and heavy, with some lighter tunes thrown into the mix to give the album balance. Definitely a high tempo album that’s perfect for listening to while working out.

Some of the stand out points on the album include guitar, some pretty awesome guitar solos abound on some of the tracks and the use of rhythm is catchy and will infect you and get your head bobbing and your foot tapping. Drums are also pretty impressive. Another high energy source for the album that seems to live off that energy.

Vocals were a bit on the fence for me. The band originates from Italy and singer Rusty Rustichelli’s pronunciation is off at times, even muddled at some points to the level where the song becomes a bit incomprehensible (it was for myself anyway). Having liner notes with lyrics printed in them will probably sort the problem, I’ve been here before and after reading the lyrics being able to go back and get it, but alas no liner notes for me.

Klogr is definitely a metal act that is going to win over metal fans new and old. The band has its quirks but what band doesn’t? Definitely worth checking out if you’re a Disturbed fan or a fan of older metal like Metallica or Megadeth.
