The Airborne Toxic Event (the name taken from the book White Noise by Don Delillo) is releasing their third studio album titled Such Hot Blood, which drops April 30th. The album contains a total of ten tracks.

I’d heard the name tossed around a bit but had never heard the band either live or on album. My first go at the band was actually pretty satisfying though with the beautiful classical compositions hanging behind the curtain of the bands main performance. Apparently a band mainstay since the beginning. I also liked that the album’s lyrical composition wasn’t afraid to step outside of the realm of playing for what you pay for, meaning most times bands will rent studio space and ardently hammer out songs to perfection. This music felt well practiced, but lyrically it was like hearing a new or old friend talk about their day, their life, without the bells and whistles most artists toss in to, just in case, grab you with pop culture reference as a failsafe to make a connection. The album was 100% life observation at its most humblest. I highly recommend.
